A Quizlet alternative
The Quizlet alternative that turns your sets into games
Lexis Lift is a free English vocabulary app. Bring your words from Quizlet or Anki, then learn them with flashcards and 13 games for listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Bring your sets
Import from Quizlet or Anki in three steps
Your words arrive as cards in a new set. Check them, change anything you like, then save.
From Quizlet
- In Quizlet, open your set, choose ⋯, then Export.
- Keep Tab and New line, and choose Copy text.
- In Lexis Lift, choose Import from Quizlet or Anki, paste the text and import.
From Anki
- In Anki, choose File › Export.
- Pick Notes in Plain Text (.txt), choose your deck and export it.
- In Lexis Lift, choose Import from Quizlet or Anki, pick Anki, choose the file and import.
Up to 180 words an import. A longer list goes into more than one set.
Words and their meanings come across; images, audio and Anki’s review history do not. Anki packages (.apkg) cannot be read: export Notes in Plain Text instead.

Spaced repetition
Words come back before you forget them.
Every game you play schedules each word with FSRS, a spaced repetition method: a word you miss comes back soon, one you know waits longer. Turn on Words to review, and a word that is due can come to you as a notification.

Speak with confidence
Say it out loud. Know you got it.
In Pronunciation and Dictation you speak, and the app tells you whether it heard your word, so you practise saying it, not just recognising it.
Try it free
In your own language
English, explained in your language.
Translation, Role Play and Dictation give their sentences in Vietnamese or the language you choose, so you understand at once, without a dictionary.

Questions about switching
Can I import my Quizlet sets?
Yes. In Quizlet, export the set and copy its text. In Lexis Lift, choose Import from Quizlet or Anki on Create set and paste it. Tab, comma, semicolon and custom separators all work.
Can I import an Anki deck?
Yes. Export it from Anki as Notes in Plain Text (.txt) and choose the file in Lexis Lift. The first field becomes the word and the second its meaning. Anki packages (.apkg) are not supported.
How many words can I import?
Up to 180 words an import. A set can hold more: add words by hand after importing, or split a long list into several sets.
Is Lexis Lift free?
Yes. Sign up and learn for free with the sets, flashcards and games. Three advanced activities, Role Play, Retention and Speed Reading, are part of Premium.
Does Lexis Lift use spaced repetition?
Yes. Every game you play schedules each word with FSRS, so the words you miss come back sooner and the ones you know wait longer.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. Lexis Lift runs in the browser on your phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to install.

Bring your words. Keep learning.
